Traveler Spotlight

When it comes to celebrating the holidays, Mayflower Tours travelers Pat and Bill of Baltimore, Maryland know how to do it just right. They welcomed in the New Year 2008 on the Tournament of Roses Parade holiday enjoying the fun and excitement at this annual special event. We asked Pat and Bill to share their thoughts about the Mayflower experience. Here's what they have to say:

Why did you choose the Tournament of Roses Parade escorted holiday with Mayflower Tours?
We had already traveled on many of the Mayflower trips so our choice was somewhat limited and when our very good friends who were in our wedding party fifty years ago this year highly recommended the Tournament of Roses Parade vacation we were sold.

What did you enjoy about this holiday?
The free bus service in Long Beach for tourists was convenient, quick and safe and allowed us to see the sights and reach all the wonderful restaurants in the city. Also, the many, many digital photos taken up close of the floats the day after the parade at the park we will have for our lifetime.

Of the other escorted holidays you have taken with Mayflower Tours, would you comment on your experience?

I will always remember our departure from Yellowstone National Park. We were boarding the bus when someone noticed the old buffalo named George on edge of the parking lot so, of course, we all took off for a last photo shoot. Then we spotted a moose with a baby moose nearby. After more pictures while we were walking back to the bus, Old Faithful erupted. Now that was an ideal way to depart a wonderful national park!

Sincerely,
Pat and Bill
