Begin your tour with a stop in Kalamazoo, Michigan, to visit the Air Zoo, one of the country’s premier aviation attractions. Interactive displays help to understand the history of flight. Also on site is the national Guadalcanal Memorial Museum. Continue to Michigan’s Little Bavaria – Frankenmuth. Tonight we enjoy a family-style welcome dinner hosted by your Tour Manager.
Your stay in Frankenmuth includes a guided tour of the village highlighting its German heritage including a visit to St. Lorenz Church. There will be time to shop in Bronner’s Christmas Store, everyone’s favorite. Later you will enjoy the 16th annual Oktoberfest celebration filled with the sights and sounds reminiscent of the world-famous festival in Munich, Germany. There will be continuous bands, lots of food, dancing and of course, authentic German beer.
Then it’s on to Michigan’s state capital, Lansing. Here we enjoy a lunch cruise aboard the Michigan Princess complete with live entertainment and beautiful the scenery as we sail along the Grand River before returning home.
