    Travel to Pennsylvania today as we begin our journey to Washington, DC. This evening, enjoy a welcome dinner with your new traveling companions. (Dinner)

  1. Travel to Washington, DC
    Arriving in Washington, DC, we begin our tour at Arlington National Cemetery. We view the gravesites of John and Robert Kennedy as well as the eternal flame that burns in dedication to the memory of John F. Kennedy. Appreciate the military precision of the Changing of the Guard Ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknowns. (Breakfast)

  1. Touring in Washington, DC
    History is being made every day in Washington, DC. A local guide joins us today to show us this amazing city. We'll see the White House and the Capitol Building where laws are created. On Capitol Hill, we'll see the Library of Congress and the Supreme Court. Touring in DC's mall area shows us the FDR, Vietnam and Lincoln Memorials. We'll also make a stop at the National WWII Memorial, the first national memorial dedicated to all who served during World War II. (Breakfast and dinner)

  1. The U.S. Capitol Building and the Smithsonian
    We begin the day with a visit to the Capitol Visitor Center, which features an exhibition gallery and orientation theaters before embarking on a guided tour of the US Capitol Building itself. The Senate and House of Representatives have met here for more than two centuries and the Capitol is one of the most architecturally impressive and symbolically important buildings in the world. Later, you may wish to visit the Smithsonian Institution, the world's largest museum and research organization. Composed of 16 museums in Washington, DC, the Smithsonian's exhibitions offer visitors a glimpse into its vast collection numbering over 142 million objects and includes the Air & Space Museum. Later this evening, an incredible illumination tour of Washington, DC tops off this exciting day and showcases the memorials and monuments of our Nation's Capital bathed in floodlights. (Breakfast)

  1. Mount Vernon and Jamestown Settlement
    No tour of colonial America is complete without a stop at Mount Vernon, the expansive estate of George and Martha Washington. Visit the Ford Orientation Center and the Donald W. Reynolds Museum where you will have the chance to experience Washington's life through movies and exhibitions. Explore his mansion filled with 18th century treasures and stroll the gardens of this 45-acre estate, taking in the views of the Potomac River from the mansion's piazza. Later, we travel south to Jamestown, the site of America's first permanent English colony. Explore life at the dawn of the 17th century inside the palisade of a re-created colonial fort and discover the world of Pocahontas in the Powhatan Indian Village. (Breakfast)

  1. Colonial Williamsburg
    Colonial Williamsburg is the largest living history museum in the country and one of America's most popular attractions. Stroll streets dating back to the 1700s. Converse with residents playing the roles of their ancestors as they go about their daily activities exactly as they did more than 200 years ago. It's an exciting glimpse into the early days of our nation. A traditional Colonial tavern dinner sets the mood for our stay in historic Williamsburg. (Breakfast and dinner)

  1. The Laurel Highlands
    Today we depart Williamsburg, and head to the quiet beauty of the Laurel Highlands in southwestern Pennsylvania. We make a stop at the Flight 93 Memorial before taking the Lincoln Highway through the quaint town of Ligonier with its antique stores and specialty shops. Tonight, enjoy a farewell dinner with your traveling companions. (Breakfast and dinner)
