8 DAYS • 10 MEALS

Spring has sprung in Michigan! From the brilliant tulips of Holland to the gracious Victorian hospitality of Mackinac Island, celebrate springtime splendor in this beautiful state.

The Beauty of Spring
No flower better symbolizes the coming of spring than the graceful, colorful tulip. For nearly 80 years, the descendants of Michigan’s early settlers have celebrated both their favorite flower and their Dutch heritage with the Holland Tulip Festival.

A Dutch Treat
Every year, the little town of Holland, Michigan, plays host to visitors from around the world with a festival timed to coincide with the blooming of the elegant tulip, and you’ll see more than 150,000 during this peak growing time. The festival also celebrates the area’s Dutch heritage with events such as the Muziekparade (Music Parade) where nearly 40 bands and as many floats, giant helium balloons, horses, Klompen Dancers and more perform along the parade route. We’ll also tour the best of the local attractions, including the gorgeous Veldheer-DeKlomp Tulip Gardens and Windmill Island, home to the only authentic Dutch windmill in the United States.

A Genteel Victorian Paradise
Imagine a journey back in time to a gracious era of horse-drawn carriages and luxurious beach-front verandas. That’s what you'll find on Mackinac Island. From the moment you step off the ferry, you’ll feel like you’ve taken a step back in time as no automobiles are allowed on the island. Sightseers and locals alike travel by foot, bicycle or horse carriage. Delights of all kinds await on this enchanting island and at our luxurious hotel property, The Grand Hotel, where we will be staying for two nights.

Birthplace of the Automobile
History is also on the agenda in Dearborn, where we’ll explore the life and work of an American genius, Henry Ford. We’ll see Ford’s genius in action as we witness an F-150 pickup truck being built from the ground up during the Rouge River Factory Tour. Dearborn is also home to the Henry Ford Museum, which houses stunning exhibits about the pioneers of aviation, the automobile and other innovations of daily life. Or you may choose to explore nearby Greenfield Village, a meticulous re-creation of historic dwellings, neighborhoods and businesses from various eras in America’s past.

A Bouquet of Spring Sensations!
Don’t miss this chance to welcome spring! Join us for eight fun-filled days as we sample the best that Michigan has to offer.
