Days
One and Two – Travel to Montreal
Get ready as we journey east for a get-acquainted dinner in
Ontario before continuing to Quebec and the city of Montreal,
rich in French Canadian charm.

Day
Three – Montreal and Le Festin du Gouverneur
Today, a local guide joins us for a narrated tour of Montreal.
We see Old Montreal, dating from the 18th-century, Notre Dame
Basilica, St. Joseph Oratory, the site of the 1976 Olympics,
and enjoy a panoramic vista of the city from Mount Royal. This
afternoon, enjoy free time to explore on your own or shop in
some of Montreal’s many stores and boutiques. Tonight,
enjoy laughter and dinner at a Montreal tradition, Le Festin
du Gouverneur. (Breakfast and dinner)

Four – Montreal to Quebec City
Leaving Montreal this morning, we travel to the walled city
of Quebec, the capital of French Canada. A local guide joins
us for a tour through this beautiful city with its narrow streets
filled with quaint shops and European architecture. Later, we
board our ship, the MSC Poesia, for an amazing 7-day
cruise through maritime Canada and New England. (Breakfast and
dinner)

Five – Day at Sea
Today we cruise the St. Lawrence Seaway, navigating the same
waters that were used by the early settlers and fur traders
who came to this land over two hundred years ago. The MSC
Poesia features fine and casual dining, complimentary 24-hour
stateroom service, a full casino, three swimming pools and dozens
of fun activities.

Six – Sydney, Nova Scotia
Located on beautiful Cape Breton Island, Sydney is in easy reach
of the famous Cabot Trail. An optional excursion here could
take you to the Fortress of Louisbourg, a meticulously restored
1744 fort featuring period-costumed interpreters portraying
historic characters. (All meals on board)

Seven – Get to Know the MSC Poesia
We enjoy another day at sea, which is a great opportunity to
get to know your ship. The pride of the MSC fleet, the Poesia
offers an exotic haven of tranquility and combines elegance
with excitement. This evening, why not see a fantastic Vegas-style
show or dance the night away under the stars. (All meals on
board)

Eight – Bar Harbor, Maine
Charming cobblestone streets and quaint storefronts make Bar
Harbor a delightful New England vacation destination. Acadia
National Park, just a short drive from downtown Bar Harbor,
offers a spectacular display of nature at its finest. Rocky
cliffs and jagged coastline open to beautiful ocean views and
stony beaches. (All meals on board)
Day Nine – Boston, Massachusetts
Boston, "America's Walking City" and home of the original
tea party, is a beautiful city full of historic sites. With
Bunker Hill and the U.S.S. Constitution, Boston has some of
the most well preserved historic buildings in the country. Optional
shore excursions include a Freedom Trail walking tour, a trip
to Salem and the Witch Museum and even the John F. Kennedy Library.

Ten – Newport, Rhode Island
Newport has one of the highest concentrations of colonial homes
in the nation and is also known for its Gilded Age mansions.
The Newport Cliff Walk, a public access walkway bordering the
shoreline, is considered one of the most popular attractions
in the city. (All meals on board)
Day
Eleven – Arrive in New York
Our cruise ends in New York City. Get a different view of the
fantastic New York skyline and the majestic Statue of Liberty
and Ellis Island as you cruise into the bay past Coney Island,
Brooklyn and Staten Island. Touring the city with a local guide
is the best way to see Central Park, Times Square, Wall Street
and Chinatown. We pass such landmark buildings as the Empire
State and Rockefeller Center. (Breakfast)
Days
Twelve and Thirteen – Homeward Bound
We journey home filled with wonderful memories of French Canada,
the Maritimes and our New England cruise.
