One – Overnight on Miscauno Island
Travel north to the state of Wisconsin and near the town of
Pembine, we cross the 100-year-old, steel constructed bridge
which brings us to Miscauno Island and the wonderful all-suite
Four Seasons Resort. We enjoy a leisurely pontoon boat cruise
along the Menominee River before settling in for a special welcome
dinner at the resort. (Dinner)
Day
Two – Copper Harbor and Fort Wilkins
Venturing into Michigan’s Upper Peninsula this morning,
travel through the beautiful scenery and rugged shoreline of
the Keweenaw Peninsula to the town of Copper Harbor. This was
once the center of copper mining in the region and was also
a supply depot and gathering point for exploring parties. At
the end of the Keweenaw Peninsula stands the Fort Wilkins Historic
Complex, a well-preserved 19th-century military post and lighthouse.

Three – Calumet Theatre and Lake of the Clouds
This morning we visit the Calumet Theatre for a nostalgic tour
of this historic building which was built during the copper
mining boom at the turn of the century. Today, the Calumet Theatre

follow the shore of Lake Superior, we come to Porcupine Mountains
State Park for a stop at the Lake of the Clouds overlook. Located
between two mountain ridges, the lake is surrounded by virgin
wilderness and stunning vistas. Later, we continue to the quaint
town of Ashland, Wisconsin. (Breakfast and lunch)

Four – Apostle Islands Cruise
and Stage North Theater
Today we travel to Bayfield where we see the interesting architecture
of the past century. Here, stately brownstones dominate the
Historic District of this Victorian town. Just offshore lies
the pristine blue waters of Lake Superior’s Apostle Islands.
We board a ship for a leisurely half-day cruise which weaves
through the 22 islands and see the Island Lighthouse and restored
1930s commercial fish camp. Tonight we head to Stage North Theater
