Our
journey to Michigan brings us to Traverse City, known for its
sparkling beaches, charming shops and the Music House Museum
which features a one-of-a-kind collection of rare musical instruments
and music-making machines from 1870 through 1930.
Board the high-speed ferry to Michigan’s Mackinac Island
where the charm of a bygone era is preserved. No automobiles
are permitted and nothing intrudes on the serenity and natural
beauty of the island. We board a horse-drawn carriage for a
leisurely narrated livery tour. The crown jewel of Mackinac
is The Grand Hotel, the world’s largest summer hotel built
in 1887. Enjoy a fabulous lunch and delicious dinner during
your stay at The Grand and take advantage of the free time to
stroll along Main Street and sample some fudge that the island
is famous for.
We board the Cumberland Princess for a narrated cruise
on Houghton Lake. Enjoy a special farewell luncheon which cruising
on Michigan’s largest inland lake. Tonight, enjoy the
