In 1736, General James Oglethorpe established Georgia’s first military outpost here, Fort Frederica. Tonight we’re in for a treat with a Broadway-style production at the Historic Savannah Theatre, the nation’s oldest continually operating theatre. We visit the museum that features exhibits of early life on the island, and if you are feeling adventurous, take the exhilarating walk up the 154-foot-tall lighthouse. Later, the streets of Savannah are waiting to be discovered at your own leisurely pace. Your Tour Manager will make suggestions for things to do in this city of Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil and Forrest Gump fame. Tonight, the evening is also free for you to uncover some of Savannah’s secrets on your own. (Breakfast)
