Sun-soaked beaches, scenic beauty and sophisticated cities await you in South America. Journey with us south of the equator to exotic lands that will fill you with wonder!

Santiago – Chile’s Cosmopolitan Capital
Bordering the Pacific Ocean and surrounded by the snowcapped Andes, Chile is recognized throughout the world for its award-winning wines, spectacular seafood and luscious fruits. Your panoramic city tour of Santiago features the Cathedral of Santiago, the Hippodrome, O’Higgins Park and San Cristobal Hill, site of the Statue of the Immaculate Conception. Join us for an optional tour to the coastal town of Viña del Mar known for its beautiful gardens and oceanfront promenade. Then continue to nearby Valparaiso a port city christened by the Spanish in 1536. Explore narrow, twisty street and the historic city center. Or in Santiago, walk in one of the city’s 32 barrios (neighborhoods) and browse the local artisan shops for handicrafts

Buenos Aires, Argentina – The “Paris” of South America
More European than South American, Buenos Aires boasts bustling streets, grand avenues, old- world cafes and stylish restaurants. This cosmopolitan capital and Argentina’s largest city delights travelers with magnificent architecture, government palaces, colorful neighborhoods and lovely parks. Highlights of your city tour include the National Congress, The Metropolitan Cathedral and Colon Theater, one of the best opera houses in Latin America. Visit the colorful La Boca neighborhood, now an artist’s colony, and Palermo, an area that combines architecture and history with entertainment in its green spaces. Your tour also includes a stop at La Recoleta, one of the world's most beautiful cemeteries as well as an exclusive and elegant neighborhood, where Evita is buried. On one evening join an optional excursion to a sensual Tango performance, the dance of Buenos Aires.

Optional Excursion to Gaucho Country
Celebrate the spirit of Argentina's gaucho who has galloped into the country's folklore. Come along as we visit a traditional Estancia (ranch) on the wet pampas. Be welcomed with “empanadas” and good Argentine wines. After a hearty barbecue lunch, enjoy an authentic performance featuring folkloric songs, dance and Gaucho horsemen.

Iguassu Falls – See this Natural Wonder
One of the world’s most spectacular natural wonders, Iguassu Falls is the greatest spectacle of water and forest on Earth. Bordering both Argentina and Brazil, this thundering cascade is more than two miles wide and over 240 feet high. White spray rises some 200 feet in the air, filled with multi-colored birds that circle about the tree lined jungle. Walk along paths that take you to the breathtaking landscape of Devil’s Throat.

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil – Pulsating with Excitement

Amid the lush green mountains and shimmering blue waters, Rio is known for its glorious beaches and beautiful women in bikinis. Visit the Copacabana and Ipanema beaches, where the girl in the song was spotted! See the 200,000 seat Maracanã Stadium where soccer is played. Travel to the top of the Corcovado Mountain aboard the cogwheel railway and see the city’s famous icon – the 125 foot high statue of Christ the Redeemer while you admire panoramic vistas of the city. On your own, take a cable car to Sugarloaf Mountain. Or stroll along the lively streets and enjoy the outdoor cafes and samba music. Get an authentic taste of Rio culture with a farewell Churrascaria Dinner featuring “Rodizio” style meats, accompanied by traditional Brazilian salads and side dishes.
