Day One — Travel to California Arrive in San Francisco and meet your Tour Manager in the hotel lobby at 6:00 p.m. for a welcome dinner. Dinner Day Two — San Francisco and Bay Cruise A local guide shows us San Francisco including Union Square, Lombard Street and Golden Gate Park. Our afternoon includes time for browsing the shops at Fisherman’s Wharf and Pier 39, plus an invigorating cruise on San Francisco Bay, passing Alcatraz Island and the Golden Gate Bridge. Breakfast Day Three — California Redwoods and Monterey We make our way south to beautiful Monterey. En route we visit the towering redwood trees of Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park. Our afternoon offers a visit to the outstanding Monterey Bay Aquarium, home to some 35,000 fascinating marine animals and plants. Tonight, dinner will be served on Monterey's Cannery Row. Dinner Day Four — 17-Mile Drive and Hearst Castle We begin today along the famed 17 Mile Drive on the Pacific shore passing Seal Rock, Cypress Point, and the Pebble Beach Golf Course. After a stop in charming Carmel, we journey through Big Sur, where Highway 1 offers spectacular views of the blue Pacific. At the magnificent Hearst Castle, we see priceless art treasures surrounded by elegant formal gardens in this historic estate. We spend the night overlooking the ocean. Breakfast Day Five — Solvang and Santa Barbara Today we stop in the charming Danish community of Solvang, noted for its handicraft shops, bakeries, windmills, and “gingerbread” architecture. Next, is lovely Santa Barbara to see the handsome County Courthouse, Stearns Wharf and Old Mission Santa Barbara, completed in 1820. Then we arrive at our hotel in Los Angeles. Breakfast Day Six — Hollywood Touring and Getty Center A guided sightseeing tour includes Hollywood Boulevard, Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, Sunset Strip, Rodeo Drive and a lunch stop at the famed Farmers Market. This afternoon we’ll explore the $800 million Getty Center, offering outstanding views of the Los Angeles Basin, plus paintings by the masters, sculpture, photographs and outdoor gardens. Breakfast and dinner Day Seven — Temecula Wine Country and San Diego Harbor Cruise In Temecula we take a guided tour and tasting at Callaway Winery. In San Diego we take an afternoon cruise of San Diego Bay for views of the city and Coronado. This evening, explore Old Town San Diego filled with a wide variety of choices for dinner on your own. Breakfast Day Eight — San Diego Zoo and Seaport Village A guided city tour will include Gaslamp Quarter, the harborfront, picturesque La Jolla and Cabrillo National Monument. At the world-renowned San Diego Zoo, we explore the home of more than 4,000 animals presented in natural environments. We travel by open air sightseeing coach, moving sidewalk and aerial tramway. Tonight’s farewell dinner has been arranged in delightful Seaport Village. Breakfast and dinner Day Nine — Return Home A group transfer takes us to San Diego International Airport for flights out after 12:00 p.m. Breakfast
