Dinner Day Two — Shoshone Falls and Boise We depart Utah this morning en route to Idaho. We make a stop at spectacular Shoshone Falls, known as the “Niagara of the West.” With a 212 foot drop and a width of 900 feet, it is one of the largest natural waterfalls in the country. Later, we arrive in Boise, where our hotel and included dinner await. Breakfast and dinner Day Three — Solar Eclipse Day Today we are taken to a specially-selected location to view one of the earth’s great wonders, a total solar eclipse. Special protective eye-wear and delicious hot lunch will be provided for this one-in-a-lifetime event. Breakfast and lunch Day Four — Museum of Idaho and Cody Nite Rodeo This morning we stop at Hell’s Half Acre Lava Trail System. The contorted landscapes were created from multiple Hawaiian-type lava flows, the result of intense volcanic activity more than 2,000 years ago. Then, as we cross through Yellowstone National Park en route to Cody, Wyoming we stop at storied Old Faithful Geyser, named for its regular eruptions about every 80 to 90 minutes. Tonight, we enjoy reserved seats to the fabulous Cody Nite Rodeo. Breakfast and dinner Day Five — Yellowstone National Park Today we tour Yellowstone, the world’s first national park, featuring renowned geysers and thermal basins. See the awesome 1,200-foot-deep Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, including views from Inspiration and Lookout Points. Travel through Dunraven Pass and Tower Junction to the terraced formations of Mammoth Hot Springs. Also, we see Norris Geyser Basin, filled with an incredible variety of steam vents, mud pots, geysers, and hot springs. Breakfast and dinner Day Six — Buffalo Bill Center of the West Museum Tracing its roots back to 1917, the Buffalo Bill Museum is the flagship museum of the Buffalo Bill Center of the West. Since first opening its doors in 1927 as a log cabin in downtown Cody, the museum has grown to include the Cody Firearms Museum, Plains Indian Museum and the Whitney Western Art Museum. Later, we cross the border into Montana for dinner and a two-night stay.
